Hummus is probably one of the best known Middle Eastern foods due to its popularity worldwide.
The main ingredient in Hummus is chickpeas. Chickpeas contain a large amount of iron, which is important in building strong muscles and keep your brain healthy. Eating chickpeas also reduces your chance of getting diabetes, improves concentration, reduces the frequency and severity of colds and flus; as well as helping you to sleep.
This yummy dip goes well with celery or carrot sticks, which further boots the nutritional value – celery and carrots contain vitamins A, K and fibre.
