Homework Club

At Inspire, kids don’t just do their homework – they also participate in additional educational activities and programs to supplement their learning.

Inspire’s homework program has been developed by a team of primary school teachers, in consultation with families. It is designed to develop confidence, good study habits and support busy families.

Our dedicated homework rooms are supervised by an educator. Their role is to assist the kids in completing homework set by their school, as well as provide valuable guidance and extension homework once school homework is complete.

At Inspire, we don’t just support children in doing their homework – we try to make it fun! Inspire’s homework program also includes fun workshops and educational games, such as Spelling Bees, which foster a fun, engaging and motivating learning environment for children. We believe if children are having fun they will learn more!

The Inspire Me Chronicles

Children are such great storytellers! And at Inspire, we want to support children’s literacy through the creation of stories. Inspire hosted its first creative writing competition where all Inspire children were invited to write their own short story about going on an adventure and submitted this for the Inspire Me Chronicles!

Stay tuned for the next competition!

Numeracy and Literacy Club

Our program incorporates custom made Literacy and Numeracy club booklets. These have been specially developed by Inspire’s ToTs (Team of Teachers) and are made up of engaging activities to supplement what children are learning at school. Each learning activity in these booklets is aligned to the stage-specific outcomes of the NSW Curriculum. These booklets also serve as extension work in our Homework rooms for when children have finished their school homework, or have no homework at all.

Inspire also provides resources to prepare and support students in Years 3 and 5 in the lead up to their NAPLAN exams. Our resources are strategically planned by our Team of Teachers (TOTs) to address the key components of the NAPLAN exams, including reading, writing, comprehension and mathematics. Through supported practice we aim to increase students’ confidence and refine their skills before they sit the exam formally.

Kangaroo Club

Kangaroo club is a fun study group delivered as part of Inspire’s after school care program. It’s a fun learning experience for children which incorporates various subjects such as Maths, English and Science and delivers knowledge to the children through facts, workshops and experiments.
