Under close educator supervision, children will learn how to:
• Use real hammers and nails
• Sand and smooth wood safely
• Build and create with glue and simple construction techniques
• Follow instructions and complete their own woodworking project
We are committed to ensuring the Woodworking Workshop runs smoothly, with children’s safety as our highest priority. Every aspect of the activity has been carefully planned, including clear step-by-step instructions, additional Head Office staff rostered to support centre educators, and a detailed risk assessment available at the centre for families to view. This ensures children can enjoy the excitement of using real tools in a safe, structured, well-supervised and controlled environment.
