Waiving Gap Fees & Changes to our Operations

The Australian Government recognised the importance of childcare services operating in this lockdown environment, offering support to families who are unable to provide care and education for their children at home. Where families are choosing to keep their children at home, we are permitted to waive the gap fees from Monday 19th July 2021 (the start of week 2 of term).

Your child’s attendance at Inspire in WEEK 2 AND 3 OF THIS TERM
To help us arrange staffing requirements and ensure that you are billed correctly please notify us if: -

  • Your child will not be attending Inspire. We will mark them absent, and you will not be charged for these days.

  • Your child will not be attending school, but you are dropping them off to Inspire. You will be charged as normal.

  • Your child is attending school and Inspire. You will be charged as normal.

As part of our safety protocol, we will roster on staff to collect your child on the day they are enrolled to attend, unless you notify us of their absence. In this instance, you will be charged the daily fee, even if your child is absent from school and Inspire on the day.

With the gap fees for weeks 2 and 3 already billed in advance, it is our expectation that you will receive a credit for the amounts already paid if you choose to keep your child at home due to the Covid situation. Please be assured that we will pass on all benefits of the gap fee waiver to families. In the meantime, please exercise patience as our accounts team carefully work through these complex adjustments with our Child Care Management System provider. Inspire is also severely impacted by this latest lockdown and staff working hours are reduced across the business to help us remain viable. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Technology for online learning support at Inspire
We appreciate that working from home and supporting your children’s online learning can be a juggle. For this reason, Inspire will permit the use of technology during periods of remote learning. We wish to thank our families who have been dropping off their children to Inspire and submitting this request to us. With the low number of students in attendance, our staff to student ratio is high (1 staff to a maximum of 4 children); this presents the perfect opportunity for your child to receive assistance with their schoolwork in our Homework Club session.  Please speak with our staff when you drop off your child, and don’t forget to bring along their electronic device and homework materials!

Change in Head Office operating hours
Effective from Monday 19th July 2021, our office hours are from 8:00am to 6:00pm. For urgent matters outside these hours, please send a text message to 0450 678 062. We will respond as soon as possible.

Reminders about Covid safe rules

  • Masks are mandatory at drop off at pick up

  • Please sign in using the Service NSW QR code

  • If your child is unwell, please keep them home. If Covid symptoms are present, we will require a negative Covid result before they can return to care.

Stay strong as we run this race of endurance together.

Yours sincerely,
Sophie May (Director)
