Starting Big School with Inspire Program Australia
Transitioning to primary school can be a confusing and stressful time for children. That is why we take special consideration for our youngest children. We have specific procedures and protocols for our new kindergarten children which allow them to transition into our care smoothly.
Pick Up Procedure
To make the transition from school to Inspire as easy as possible, our team collects Kindergarten children from their classroom. This means kindy children do not have to worry about finding the Inspire staff - we will be there waiting for children before bell time and will be there every step of the way as we transition from school to centre.
Kindy Packs
Starting school is a huge milestone in a child's life, but we understand that this is also a time of enormous change for children that can also make children (and parents!) a little bit nervous. To help prepare children for their transition to Inspire, each kindy child receives an 'Inspire Kindy Pack'. This pack is made up of fun and engaging resources to help familiarise your child with a typical day at Inspire, and to intentionally support the development of important skills that will support your child during this time of transition.
STaggered Start
At such a big time of transition and change, Inspire's first priority is to ensure kindy children are supported as they settle into a new routine. Kindy children start with Inspire after being at school for a couple of weeks, allowing them time to adjust to one new experience before starting another.
Managing a Big Day
Kindy can be exhausting! After a big day at school, we know that children can become tired and in need of some rest and relaxation. We ensure children are provided with plenty of opportunities for downtime. Whether it is reading a book in our quiet corner or sharing in an art activity during Be Inspired Time, there is something that will suit all children, wherever their energy levels are at.
Kindy Taekwondo
When a kindy child starts with Inspire they will receive a white belt and begin their training in our Taekwondo curriculum. Taekwondo is a great way for younger children in particular work on and improve their coordination, dexterity and balance while also having fun.
