This week we have the pleasure of welcoming Anusha (one of our Inspire parents!) who took the time to visit the Inspire Artarmon centre to teach the children the traditional Indian dancing. Specifically, she taught us Bharatanatym.
Anusha spent some time first teaching us the history behind the dance, and what they would be learning that afternoon. It wasn’t long before we were all up on our feet and practising the dance techniques!
It is fantastic that at Inspire we can connect with our communities, and take opportunities to engage with numerous cultures and value to develop knowledge and greater understanding.
We really cannot thank Anusha enough for taking time out of her schedule to visit our centre, share a piece of her culture and educate the children.
