Keeping children safe around roads is an important part of helping them become more confident and independent. From walking to school and crossing busy streets to riding a bike or travelling in the car, there are plenty of everyday situations where good road safety habits can make a difference.
Fairfield City Council is hosting a FREE Keeping Children Safe on and Around Roads workshop for parents, carers and grandparents of children under 12.
The interactive session will provide practical information and tips to help families improve child road safety and feel more confident navigating busy roads.
What will the road safety workshop cover?
The session will cover a range of topics relevant to families, including:
Walking to school safety
Pedestrian safety
E-bike regulations
Bicycle and helmet safety
Child car seat safety
Whether your child is starting to walk to school, learning to ride a bike or using an e-bike, the workshop is a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge and learn more about keeping children safe on and around roads.
